What this site collects, and what it doesn't.

The short version
This site sets no cookies until you say yes. If you never answer the banner, or you decline it, nothing about your visit is sent anywhere. The only information Hedgewitch Horticulture, LLC holds about you is what you typed into the contact form yourself.
When you fill in the contact form
The form asks for your name and email, and optionally your phone number, the town you're in, the kind of property, which services you're interested in, a budget range, a timeline, how you found us, and anything you write in the message. You can also attach photographs of your garden.
Submissions are delivered by Netlify, our hosting provider, and emailed to offerings@hedgewitchhorticulture.com. They are used to answer you and to plan work you ask for. They are not sold, and they are not used for advertising.
Analytics
With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages people find useful. It records the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you're using. It sets cookies to recognise a returning browser.
Google Analytics is not loaded until you press Accept. Decline it, or ignore the banner, and no request is made to Google at all — not a cookieless one either. Your choice is remembered in a cookie named tracking_consent for one year, and you can change it any time using the Change your mind control further down this page.
What this site does not do
- No advertising, ad networks or retargeting pixels.
- No social media trackers or embedded feeds.
- No third-party fonts. Typefaces are served from this site, so visiting a page does not announce you to a font host.
- Nothing is sold or rented to anyone.
Who sees what you send
- Emily and Abigail read every enquiry. They are the people who will answer you.
- Netlify — hosts the site, receives contact form submissions, and keeps standard server logs.
- The developer who maintains this site — has administrative access, and so can see submissions in the course of keeping the site and its inbox working.
- An accountant — if an enquiry becomes work we invoice, they may see your name and billing details. Not your photographs or the enquiry itself.
- Google Analytics — only if you accept it.
That is the whole list. There is no CRM, no mailing list, and no marketing tool holding your details.
How long we keep it
Contact enquiries are kept indefinitely. They stay in our email and in the site's admin until we delete them — there is no automatic clear-out — so an enquiry you sent us years ago is probably still there. If you'd rather we didn't keep yours, ask and we'll remove it.
Analytics data is held by Google under their own retention settings.

- Ask what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it — email offerings@hedgewitchhorticulture.com.
- Most browsers can block or clear cookies for a site entirely.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
